SOP: Installing Attendance for

Windows

User must be in the Active Directory Group

1) Map T: drive to \\farcmhnt2\vol2

2) Computer cannot be 64 bit operation system

3) Wow Switch in Registry must be active

a. My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\WOW

b. DisableVme REG_SZ 1

4) Installation in folder T:\APPS\A4WEXE\INSTALL

5) Update file for applications using hand scanners is required and is found at

a. Xenfs1 File Server Z:\Software\Attendance for Windows

i. Note: USE YOUR OWN MAPPING FOR Z:

b. File Name: HP4A4W.ZIP

c. Copy is in the install directory

6) Run setup from bullet 4 above

a. Next on Welcome screen

b.

c. Select Windows NT Client Base as Install Option

i. Pick a number and increment file which olds these values is T:\APPS\A4WEXE\INSTALL

i. File name is assign.txt

o. Do not run the search utility instead click Next

p.

7) Now install the updates from zip file

a. Instructions are in readme doc file in zip
